Voices for Children,
CASA of the Brazos Valley
We are the local CASA program serving the Brazos Valley (Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, and Madison counties) with the goal to train volunteer advocates to amplify the voices of children and families involved with the foster care system. Voices for Children, CASA is driven by its mission to improve the lives of children in foster care through powerful volunteer advocacy until each child is placed in a safe and permanent home.
Advocating for Children in Foster Care
When a child enters foster care due to abuse or neglect, a judge may appoint a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to speak up for the child’s best interests. CASA volunteers are everyday people from the community who are screened, trained, and appointed by the court to ensure each child is seen, heard, and supported throughout their case.
Since 2000, Voices for Children has trained hundreds of CASA volunteers to serve children in the Brazos Valley. Our volunteers provide a consistent, caring presence during one of the most uncertain times in a child’s life.
You can make a difference. Whether by giving, volunteering, or raising awareness, your support helps amplify the voices of children in foster care.
